| The increasing sophistication and frequency of cyber threats have necessitated a paradigm shift in cybersecurity strategies, with Artificial Intelligence (AI) emerging as a transformative force in this domain. AI's advanced capabilities have revolutionized the detection, analysis, and mitigation of cyber threats, enabling organizations to stay ahead of increasingly complex attack vectors. This scholarly article delves into the diverse applications of AI in cybersecurity, exploring its role in fraud detection, phishing prevention, malware identification, network intrusion detection, and automated incident response. Through the integration of real-world case studies, the paper illustrates how AI enhances operational efficiency by delivering unprecedented speed, accuracy, and scalability while significantly reducing costs. Despite these advancements, challenges persist, including the threat of adversarial attacks, ethical considerations, data privacy concerns, and the need for constant updates to algorithms to address evolving threats. The paper further explores future directions in the field, emphasizing the necessity for ethical and transparent AI practices.
