چکیده مقاله
Abstract The swift growth of the Internet of Things (IoT) has transformed industries, allowing them to attain full interconnectivity and automation. Yet this expansion has also brought substantial security and privacy problems, as conventional cloud-focused means of maintaining these structures cannot meet the real-time demands of the sorts of networked devices that make up IoT. Fog computing (also known as edge computing, for the way it pushes computation to the periphery of the network) takes the strengths of traditional cloud computing and those of the local computing found in the network's edge and combines them. This paper investigates what fog computing can do for IoT security and privacy. By leveraging key technologies such as data encryption, intrusion detection systems, and blockchain integration, fog computing provides a robust framework for mitigating security risks and safeguarding user privacy. Through a comprehensive analysis of existing frameworks and real-world implementations, this study highlights the potential of fog computing to redefine IoT security paradigms, paving the way for more resilient and secure IoT ecosystems.
